This assignment offers exposure to a diverse caseload including general surgery, vascular, urology, reconstructive plastics, ortho, neuro, gyn, and minimally pediatric patients. Unique to this setting, the OR team also manages GI cases, providing you with hands-on experience in a critical service line, especially valued since there is no dedicated GI team. Working alongside a variety of specialists and surgical technologiesincluding roboticsyoull expand your clinical repertoire and gain valuable insights from differing approaches to care and leadership.

Ideal Background:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in OR nursing or a related specialty (preferred)
- Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact state
- Current BLS certification
- Previous experience with EPIC EMR is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the complete nursing process
- Address complex social, cultural, and emotional patient/family needs
- Accurately administer medications/treatments and monitor responses
- Document care clearly and thoroughly
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying key resources
- Delegate responsibilities and make appropriate assignments to enhance care delivery
