Join an established healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR), providing critical perioperative care at a Level II Trauma center. This contract opportunity is based in Chico, CA, offering a dynamic clinical setting with exposure to outpatient surgery at the Emergency Operating Center (EOC), as well as potential float assignments to the main OR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, competent nursing care in the operating room and occasionally in Med/Surg and Critical Care units as needed.
- Collaborate with the surgical team and assist in various surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records, follow infection control protocols, and ensure compliance with hospital standards.
- Adapt to shift assignments including day shifts and some weekend coverage.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and active license with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an OR RN.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Current CPR certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records system.
- Successful completion of previous travel nursing assignments is a plus.

Additional Information:
- This role requires agency staff to be W-2 employees of their respective agency.
