Job Description

Deliver advanced, patient-centered care as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, ensuring the well-being and safety of every patient during surgical procedures. In this dynamic contract position, you'll play a vital role within a multidisciplinary team, contributing your expertise to achieve quality outcomes and support patient and family comfort through all stages of care.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current RN license (unencumbered)
  • Clinical expertise in Operating Room nursing
  • Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to upholding safety and quality standards
  • Leadership abilities to supervise, mentor, and delegate tasks to staff

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments in accordance with policies and changing patient conditions, using sound judgment for independent decision-making
  • Develop, implement, and regularly revise individualized plans of care, utilizing resources and collaborating with patients, families, and care teams
  • Monitor patient responses, documenting clinical interventions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Educate patients and families throughout the perioperative process, supporting understanding of procedures, recovery, and discharge transition
  • Delegate and supervise tasks for both licensed and non-licensed personnel, functioning as a resource and mentor within the OR setting
  • Embody a spirit of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance care, participating in quality and safety initiatives, and adhering to all regulatory requirements
  • Support a positive work environment by fostering team collaboration and ongoing professional development
