Schedule/Hours:
- 36 or 40 hours per week, depending on department needs
- Shift options: 09001830, 06001830 (for 36-hour positions), or 08001830 (for 40-hour positions)
- Includes on-call rotations: weeknights every 12 weeks, weekends approximately every 45th weekend
- Response time: 30 minutes required for call
- Participation in holiday rotation
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Minimum one year of recent OR experience
- BLS certification required (other specialty certifications preferred)
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts and take call as necessary
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care in the operating room, assisting with a variety of surgical procedures
- Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs
- Maintain strict adherence to safety and sterilization protocols
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care under fast-paced conditions
