Schedule/Hours:
- 6:30AM 3:00PM
- Full Time
- Call required: one weekend per month, approximately 7 days per month
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state
- BLS certification (AHA only)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the Operating Room (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver care using the full spectrum of the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Provide both routine and complex surgical care to diverse patient populations
- Manage rapidly changing clinical situations through leadership and delegation
- Address complex emotional, cultural, and psychosocial patient needs
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation
- Educate patients and families, identifying resources and needs
