A Registered Nurse with Operating Room expertise is needed for a contract role based in Brookfield, WI. This position requires a professional skilled in perioperative nursing, with a strong focus on orthopedic cases and proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records. Candidates must have at least two years of operating room experience and be prepared to adapt to variable start times and occasional on-call duties.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with Operating Room specialization
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an OR setting
- Strong orthopedic surgical experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
- Experience with travel nursing or flexible assignments preferred
- Ability to float within ones skill set to nearby locations (within 40 miles) as needed

Schedule & Call Responsibilities:
- Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM 3:00 PM with variable start times
- On-call duties approximately 1-2 weekday evenings per week and every third weekend
- Holiday coverage on a rotating basis in coordination with regular staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures
- Assist in managing orthopedic surgical cases efficiently
- Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient record management
- Support departmental flexibility by floating to other sites within the service area when necessary
