Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an Operating Room setting
- Proficiency with perioperative nursing protocols and sterile techniques
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in urgent surgical situations
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, adhering to best practices and hospital policies
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and surgical technologists to ensure safe and efficient operating room workflows
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care before, during, and after surgery
- Monitor patient condition intraoperatively, recognize changes, and intervene appropriately
- Maintain a sterile field by following strict infection control protocols
- Document all care provided and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams regarding patient status and care plans
