This travel RN position in the Operating Room offers the chance to experience various surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, Plastics, and OB/GYN procedures. You'll enhance your clinical skills and gain exposure to innovative approaches in perioperative care, while also collaborating with experienced surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staffall valuable additions to your resume.
Schedule:
- Days: Tuesday through Friday
- 4 x 10-hour shifts (6:00 am - 4:30 pm)
- 13-week assignment
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of direct Operating Room RN experience, with background in Ortho, Plastics, and OB/GYN cases
- Strong scientific judgment and communication skills
- Ability to anticipate needs and work efficiently within a surgical team
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the OR, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are in place
- Facilitate smooth, timely case turnovers and effective communication with surgical teams and families
- Scrub and assist surgeons during procedures, adhering to regulatory and best-practice standards
- Update and maintain physician preference cards
- Provide supervision, support, and guidance to other personnel involved in patient care
