Schedule/Hours:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Staff rotate through 6:30 AM3:00 PM, 9:00 AM5:30 PM, or 11:00 AM7:30 PM
  • Weekends and call coverage are voluntary
  • 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited RN program required (BSN preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room experience
  • Active Pennsylvania RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to learning: in-house 6-month OR course provided if needed
  • Familiarity with AORN standards or willingness to train

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update individualized patient care plans pre- and post-operatively
  • Maintain a sterile surgical field and advocate for patient safety
  • Apply aseptic techniques and adapt to dynamic clinical situations
  • Educate patients and families on perioperative processes
  • Stay current with evolving healthcare practices, equipment, and ethical guidelines
