Bring your expertise as an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to a dynamic, interdisciplinary perioperative team dedicated to high-quality, individualized patient care. In this contract role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring safe and effective surgical experiences, contributing your clinical judgment and nursing skills in a supportive environment guided by evidence-based best practices and shared governance principles.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position (length to be discussed)
- Shifts and weekend rotations as required by surgical schedules
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active and unencumbered RN license in Georgia (or compact state eligibility)
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Minimum of one year recent experience in an Operating Room or perioperative setting
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Commitment to uphold nursing standards as outlined in the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics
Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the perioperative experience
- Circulate and/or scrub for a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and surgical team coordination
- Advocate for the patient at all stages of care, maintaining respect, privacy, and dignity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues to achieve positive clinical outcomes and support service excellence initiatives
- Adhere to facility policies, professional standards, and evidence-based guidelines
