Bring your nursing expertise to a dynamic Operating Room environment, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional perioperative care. As a dedicated RN specializing in operating room procedures, you'll play a key role in ensuring patient safety, advocating for high standards of care, and supporting evidence-based practices throughout the perioperative process.

Schedule:

• Contract position (specific duration to be discussed)
• Shift hours to be confirmed; flexibility may be required to meet department needs

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license, meeting Georgia state requirements
• Previous operating room nursing experience is strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of perioperative care, patient safety, and aseptic techniques
• Familiarity with clinical governance models and collaborative healthcare teams
• Commitment to upholding ANA Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized, high-quality care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and support staff
• Advocate for patient needs, supporting both clinical outcomes and service excellence goals
• Demonstrate best practices as guided by current evidence, nursing models, and established policies
• Participate in shared governance, quality improvement, and continuing education initiatives
• Document patient care accurately and maintain clear communication with all team members
