Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in Operating Room procedures to support perioperative teams within a dynamic healthcare environment. The RN in this role plays a vital part in ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes by delivering specialized care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Flexible shifts may be available depending on operational needs

Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of one year experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse
  • BLS and ACLS certification (current and valid)
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and OR protocols
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, including equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to maintain a safe, aseptic environment
  • Deliver direct patient care during all phases of the operative process
  • Accurately document nursing observations, interventions, and patient outcomes
  • Monitor patient status and respond swiftly to changes in condition
  • Educate patients and support persons about perioperative care and recovery expectations
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards throughout patient care activities
