Job Description

Advance your nursing career in a progressive Main Operating Room environment in Aurora, CO. This contract opportunity calls for skilled Registered Nurses experienced in the Operating Room, particularly those with transplant expertise. Youll work within a 16-suite operating department equipped with advanced technology and serve on a diverse surgical team handling a broad range of complex procedures.

Schedule/Hours

  • 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Includes night and weekend call rotations

Experience/Qualifications

  • Current RN license
  • Operating Room experience with a solid transplant skill set is mandatory
  • Strongly preferred: 3 or more years of experience in a surgical setting
  • Professional certification (such as CNOR) highly valued

Unit Details & Procedures

  • Sixteen state-of-the-art OR suites on the 2nd floor
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
  • Procedures performed include: total joints, spinal surgeries, kidney and liver transplants, robotics, vascular interventions, ENT, and plastic surgeries

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert perioperative RN care before, during, and after surgery
  • Prepare, assess, and monitor patients for a variety of surgical procedures
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary OR staff to optimize patient safety
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate documentation in Meditech EMR system
  • Follow unit policies and operating guidelines to promote a seamless workflow
