Step into a dynamic surgical environment as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with advanced technology and procedures within a high-acuity, state-of-the-art main operating suite. The facility features 16 operating rooms equipped for complex surgeries including total joint replacements, spinal surgeries, transplants (kidney and liver), robotics-assisted procedures, vascular interventions, ENT, and plastic surgeries.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts: 7AM 7PM
- Includes night and weekend call as part of the rotation
Qualifications:
- Active RN license required
- Demonstrated competency in transplant procedures
- Strong Meditech EMR skills
- Preferred candidates will have:
- Three or more years of recent operating room experience
- Professional certification in perioperative nursing
- Experience with robotic and major vascular cases
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care across a diverse range of surgical procedures
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Prepare, monitor, and advocate for patients before, during, and after surgery
- Maintain strict adherence to facility, unit, and infection control guidelines and protocols
- Respond to emergent situations with professionalism and efficiency, participating in rotating call duties
