Bring your expertise in perioperative nursing to a rewarding opportunity where youll have a significant impact on patient care in the surgical environment. This contract position calls for a skilled RN with experience in the operating room, ready to step into a charge role and provide leadership and support to surgical teams during critical evening and nighttime hours.
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights
- 6:30 PM 7:00 AM (in-house charge position, weeknights only)
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong background in Operating Room nursing, with demonstrated skills in surgical procedures, perioperative care, and patient safety
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required
- Previous charge or supervisory experience in an OR setting is highly valued
- Effective communicator with excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to remain composed under pressure
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate Operating Room activities during assigned shifts
- Supervise and support nursing staff, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and policy standards
- Serve as primary resource for clinical emergencies or complex situations during evening/night hours
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and ancillary teams for seamless surgery flow
- Foster a supportive and respectful environment for all staff and patients
- Document clinical activities and maintain records in compliance with facility and legal standards

$2,299 - $2,432/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
