Job Description

Experienced Registered Nurses are needed to provide critical patient care in the Operating Room. In this dynamic setting, you will have the opportunity to perform alongside surgeons and surgical teams, supporting patients throughout all phases of their procedures. This contract assignment offers the chance to expand your clinical expertise while working in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license
  • At least 1 year of recent experience in an Operating Room setting (circulating and/or scrub experience preferred)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Strong knowledge of OR protocols, sterile techniques, and surgical instrumentation
  • Ability to provide compassionate, efficient patient care in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and/or scrub in the Operating Room, assisting with a wide variety of surgical cases
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment
  • Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery
  • Coordinate care with surgical team members, anesthesiologists, and other staff
  • Document patient records accurately and promptly
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and industry standards for safety and infection control
  • Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families
