Job Description
A highly collaborative and fast-paced environment awaits experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses interested in a contract role supporting a dynamic surgical team. This position offers the chance to work in a facility equipped with 16 advanced operating rooms and the latest in surgical technology, accommodating a variety of specialties and complex procedures.
Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
- Includes night and weekend call rotations
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license required
- Demonstrated transplant surgery skill set (mandatory)
- Minimum of 3 years OR nursing experience preferred
- Certification in perioperative nursing highly desirable
- Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly Meditech, is an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered care before, during, and after surgery with a focus on safety and positive outcomes
- Circulate and/or scrub for procedures including total joints, spine, transplants (kidney/liver), robotics, vascular, ENT, and plastics
- Collaborate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and support staff
- Maintain strict adherence to established policies, procedures, and infection control protocols
- Manage documentation efficiently and accurately within Meditech EMR
- Respond to urgent and emergent situations as a confident clinical leader
