Job Description

A highly collaborative and fast-paced environment awaits experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses interested in a contract role supporting a dynamic surgical team. This position offers the chance to work in a facility equipped with 16 advanced operating rooms and the latest in surgical technology, accommodating a variety of specialties and complex procedures.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
  • Includes night and weekend call rotations

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license required
  • Demonstrated transplant surgery skill set (mandatory)
  • Minimum of 3 years OR nursing experience preferred
  • Certification in perioperative nursing highly desirable
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly Meditech, is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient-centered care before, during, and after surgery with a focus on safety and positive outcomes
  • Circulate and/or scrub for procedures including total joints, spine, transplants (kidney/liver), robotics, vascular, ENT, and plastics
  • Collaborate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and support staff
  • Maintain strict adherence to established policies, procedures, and infection control protocols
  • Manage documentation efficiently and accurately within Meditech EMR
  • Respond to urgent and emergent situations as a confident clinical leader
