Job Description

A specialized nursing opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room expertise, focusing on orthopedic, neurological, robotic, and general surgery cases. This contract role is ideal for an experienced OR nurse seeking to apply a diverse surgical skill set in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Location
This position is based in Arlington, TX, a vibrant city known for its cultural attractions, sports venues, and convenient access to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Arlington offers a thriving community atmosphere with diverse dining, entertainment options, and quality living.

Responsibilities

  • Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room, covering orthopedic, neurological, robotic-assisted, and general surgeries
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficient procedure flow
  • Maintain sterile techniques and proper use of surgical instruments and equipment
  • Monitor patient status pre-, intra-, and post-operation, responding quickly to changes as needed
  • Participate in call rotation, supporting surgical cases during evenings, Fridays, and weekends

Qualifications / Desired Experience

  • Current RN licensure with Operating Room nursing experience
  • Proficiency in orthopedic, neuro, robotic, and general surgical procedures
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Schedule / Hours

  • Days: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on Monday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Call rotation every 6 weeks including one weekday (6:30 PM7:00 AM), one Friday (6:30 PM7:00 AM), and one weekend day or night shift
