Preferred Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Georgia
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- At least one year of experience in an operating room setting
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification highly desirable
- Comprehensive knowledge of perioperative nursing procedures
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively function within an interdisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized, evidence-based nursing care in the operating room environment
- Advocate for patient and family needs while upholding service excellence and system policies
- Implement, document, and evaluate nursing care aligned with facility protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to optimize patient outcomes
- Champion patient safety and infection control practices at every phase of the surgical process
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ongoing education, and professional development activities
