Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of the smallest patients as an RN specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care. This is a contract assignment for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse ready to deliver cutting-edge care to newborns in need of intensive support.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract assignment; scheduling details provided during interview
Qualifications:
- Valid and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year experience in a Level III or IV NICU setting
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities with families and team members
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for critically ill and premature neonates
- Monitor, assess, and document patient vital signs and condition changes
- Manage high-tech equipment including ventilators, incubators, and IV devices
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other care providers
- Educate and support families, addressing their concerns and providing discharge preparation
- Comply with all policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
- Participate in patient care planning and rounds
