Deliver compassionate and specialized care to the youngest patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This position is an excellent opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses with a passion for neonatal care and patient-family education to make a meaningful difference. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting neonates and their families through critical moments and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary professionals.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- Demonstrated experience in a NICU setting
- Familiarity with neonatal care planning, medication administration, and monitoring physiological changes
- Excellent assessment and communication skills to address both physiological and psychosocial needs
- Ability to educate and train families regarding neonatal health, procedures, and ongoing care at home
- Willingness to supervise, delegate, and support ancillary staff in accordance with their scope of practice
- Flexibility to float to Pediatric units as department needs require
- Commitment to upholding professional standards and delivering patient-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for neonates in the NICU
- Coordinate and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, and update records accurately
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and communicate effectively with families
- Administer medications, assess patient status, and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Support and mentor less experienced staff, ensuring excellent standards of care
- Facilitate patient and family education, promoting wellness and understanding
