Job Description

Deliver exceptional care to the tiniest patients as a skilled RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This engaging role centers on delivering specialized nursing services to neonates, supporting their families, and collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team. Youll be instrumental in care planning, administering medications, monitoring for physiological changes, and addressing the psychosocial needs of infants and their caregivers. In addition to your responsibilities in the NICU, you will be cross trained to support the Pediatrics unit as needed, ensuring a broad and enriching professional experience.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Shifts will be assigned as specified by the facilitys needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and unencumbered RN license.
  • Demonstrated competence in NICU nursing skills and protocols.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing care for critical and high-acuity neonates.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, specifically in educating and supporting families.
  • Ability to supervise and appropriately delegate tasks to ancillary staff in accordance with their scope of practice.
  • Flexibility and willingness to float to Pediatrics as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive care planning and direct patient care for neonates in the NICU.
  • Accurate medication administration and critical assessment of patient status.
  • Timely documentation of physiological changes, treatments, and interventions.
  • Providing developmentally appropriate support and education to families.
  • Delegating and coordinating with ancillary personnel to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Supporting a collaborative and compassionate clinical environment.
