Provide specialized nursing care in a high-acuity Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), supporting infants ranging from 24 weeks gestation to term, including micro preemies and those requiring respiratory or surgical support. This contract position offers a dynamic night shift schedule and the opportunity to work with a dedicated NICU team focused on comprehensive neonatal care.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to neonates ranging from 24 weeks gestation to 44 weeks, including micro preemies and surgical patients.
- Manage respiratory support and provide support for grower-feeder infants.
- Utilize Epic charting systems to document patient care accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain compliance with institutional policies and NICU protocols.
- Flexibly float to the Elmhurst campus as needed based on patient census.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a NICU RN in a Level III high-acuity setting.
- Current certifications in CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Proficiency in managing ventilated neonates and those requiring surgical interventions.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records preferred.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Every other weekend commitment required.
Contract Type:
- Contract position starting within two weeks.
