Deliver specialized care to newborns and infants in a vibrant Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting. Utilize your expertise as a Registered Nurse to provide critical support, monitor patient progress, and collaborate closely with a dedicated healthcare team. This contract opportunity is designed for compassionate professionals devoted to making a difference for vulnerable neonatal patients.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent NICU nursing experience strongly preferred
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification highly desired
- Proficient in assessment, documentation, and executing care plans for high-risk infants
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, technology-driven environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care to critically ill or premature infants
- Assess vital signs, administer medications, and respond to emergency situations
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other NICU professionals
- Provide education and support to families during a highly sensitive and emotional time
- Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies
- Participate in safety protocols and continuous improvement activities
