Bring your expertise as a Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) to a dynamic healthcare team committed to delivering exceptional care for newborns in critical condition. As a vital member of the NICU, you will work closely with neonatologists, advanced practitioners, and support staff to provide compassionate, evidence-based care for premature and critically ill infants.
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- Minimum of one year recent clinical experience in a Level III or IV NICU
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills specific to neonatal care
- Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Detail-oriented, with proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care to neonates, including assessment, medication administration, and support for complex medical interventions
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in patient status
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other clinical staff to manage care plans and ensure continuous monitoring
- Provide education, comfort, and resources to families during stressful and sensitive situations
- Maintain precise records and participate in care team meetings to ensure the highest standards of care
- Adhere to all hospital policies, infection control protocols, and safety guidelines
