Job Description

Make a difference in neonatal care by providing expert nursing support in a specialized environment. This contract position is focused on caring for newborns and supporting families during critical times, requiring the expertise of a skilled RN with NICU experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse license
  • At least one year of recent experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Strong working knowledge of neonatal conditions, treatments, and technology
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and clinical judgment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • BLS and NRP certifications required

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver coordinated care for assigned NICU patients, adhering to established nursing standards and protocols
  • Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
  • Supervise and guide nursing staff, delegating tasks to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Foster communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring comprehensive and consistent care
  • Practice independent judgment and utilize professional discretion in clinical situations
  • Assist with floating assignments according to departmental needs, ensuring proper timekeeping procedures
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Support a positive, solution-oriented work environment focused on patient safety and family-centered care
