As a NICU RN in this travel position, youll expand your clinical expertise by managing a diverse population of neonatesranging from infants born at 23 weeks to those requiring complex surgical interventions. Work closely with fellow professionals in a Level 1 Trauma, teaching institution celebrated for excellence in pediatric and critical care.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts: 7p7a, every 6 weeks cycle
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend minimum
- No on-call; expectation to work 75% of holidays
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Skilled in: ventilator management, central line management, pre/post-surgical neonate care, tracheostomy and G-tube management, gavage, bottle, and breastfeeding support, blood transfusions, and infant venous access
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized care to neonates with varied surgical and medical needs
- Manage advanced neonatal equipment and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
- Float as needed to General Pediatrics, PICU, Hem/Onc, and Adolescent Pediatrics
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
- Ensure robust family communication and education
