Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care in a high-acuity Level III NICU setting, supporting neonates from 24 weeks gestation and up, including micro-preemies, surgical patients, and those requiring respiratory support.
Location
Position based in Joliet, IL, offering experience in a dynamic hospital environment with access to advanced neonatal care resources.
Schedule/Hours
- 12-hour night shifts
- 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Registered Nurse with an active Illinois license
- Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience, specifically in Level III settings
- Proficient with high-acuity neonatal patients, including micro-preemies around 24 weeks and grower feeders up to 44 weeks gestation
- Experience managing neonates on respiratory support and post-surgical care
- Certification in CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
- Epic charting experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU
- Monitor and manage respiratory support and surgical post-op needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care planning
- Utilize Epic for accurate and timely documentation
- Flexibility to float to nearby campus based on census demands
Contract Details
