An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care within the Maternal Child Health department, located in Ithaca, NY. This travel nursing position involves providing direct, compassionate care to a designated group of patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met throughout their care journey. Collaboration with unit leadership and adherence to nursing standards specific to Maternal Child Health (AWONN, ACOG, NNA, AORN) are essential to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care focused on maternal and neonatal health.
- Observe and collect patient data for assessment.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans.
- Address patients physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
- Collaborate with unit leadership and interdisciplinary teams.
- Comply with professional nursing standards and hospital policies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (AAS) or higher.
- Current New York State RN license.
- BLS certification upon hire; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification within 6 months.
- Preferred experience with postpartum care.
- Physical ability to operate job-related equipment, perform light lifting, and remain mobile for extended periods.
