Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, night shift
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
- No on-call; 75% of holiday shifts expected
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience required
- National certifications: BLS and NRP required
- Competency in basic ventilator management, central line care, pre/post-surgical care, tracheostomies, g-tubes, gavage feeding, blood transfusions, and infant venous sticks
- First-time travelers welcome
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized care for NICU patients, including surgical and high-risk infants
- Implement best practices in breastfeeding, bottle, and tube feeding
- Coordinate closely with nurse aides and charge nurses
- Float to Pediatrics, PICU, Adolescent, and Pediatric Hem/Onc units as needed
- Accurately chart in EPIC EMR
