Job Description

Providing specialized care for the most vulnerable patients in the neonatal intensive care unit requires skill, compassion, and dedication. This full-time NICU RN role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic healthcare setting on a contract basis. Work three 12-hour shifts per week, with weekend and holiday scheduling as needed, plus voluntary on-call support. Experience may include occasional floating to other hospital units to meet patient needs, ensuring a well-rounded clinical experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor the physical, psychological, social, spiritual, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs of neonatal patients.
  • Review patient history, physicals, diagnostic tests, and lab data, reporting abnormalities promptly.
  • Develop and initiate individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Conduct ongoing reassessments to ensure plans remain relevant and effective.
  • Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education to support continuity of care.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN licensure.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience.
  • Neonatal ICU experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
