Job Description

Deliver exceptional neonatal care in a dynamic clinical environment, caring for our most vulnerable patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a Registered Nurse specializing in NICU, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for neonates requiring intensive care.

Schedule:

  • Shifts available; specific scheduling will be discussed during the interview process.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Specialized training or experience in NICU care
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
  • Exceptional communication abilities with families and medical teams
  • Capable of cross-training and floating to Pediatric care areas as needed
  • Experience supervising and delegating tasks to support staff, mindful of their scope of practice
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and team collaboration

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and accurately document all care provided
  • Recognize and respond to physiological changes; report significant findings promptly
  • Address psychosocial and emotional needs of neonates and their families, delivering education and support
  • Train and mentor parents/caregivers, empowering them for at-home care needs post-discharge
  • Supervise and delegate appropriately to ancillary personnel, ensuring all care meets facility and accreditation standards
  • Practice in a manner consistent with current CNA representation and policies
