Job Description

Deliver high-quality patient care using your expertise as a medical-surgical registered nurse within a dynamic hospital environment. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated RN who is comfortable working nights and adapting to the fast-paced demands of a major healthcare facility.

Schedule:

  • Nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend shift
  • Every other holiday shift

Qualifications:

  • Valid, active Massachusetts RN license
  • Current BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted)
  • Minimum three years of recent experience on medical-surgical/telemetry units
  • Demonstrated proficiency with telemetry and Meditech systems
  • Strong background with patient monitoring and telemetry best practices
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • 2024/2025 flu vaccination (must be completed before starting)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to float to similar units as needed
  • Successful completion of a telemetry test during first-day orientation

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to adult patients on a med-surg/telemetry floor
  • Monitor patient conditions, recognizing abnormalities and intervening promptly
  • Administer medications, perform assessments, and manage patient documentation using Meditech
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and family members
  • Adapt quickly to changing unit needs, including floating to parallel units
