Step into an essential nursing role caring for patients on a busy medical-surgical unit. This contract opportunity offers valuable experience in a dynamic environment, providing care on a dedicated night shift schedule. Schedule:
- Nights, 7:00pm 7:30am
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
Qualifications:
- Valid MA RN License required
- BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience on medical-surgical/telemetry units
- Prior travel nursing experience is necessary
- Proficiency with telemetry and Meditech charting systems
- Comfortable with unit floating as needed
- Successful completion of a tele test on the first day of orientation
- 2024/2025 Flu vaccine must be received prior to the start date
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care and assessments on medical-surgical and telemetry units
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms
- Accurately document and communicate patient status using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to tailor care plans
- Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and emergencies
- Adhere to hospital procedures and infection control policies
- Flex to similar units as staffing needs dictate
