This med-surg/tele setting offers an active and collaborative environment, with a robust support system that includes CNAs, experienced resource nurses, 24/7 RT, attentive attendings, and advanced technology such as Epic, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell. The unit is known for its strong teamwork and adaptability, ensuring a supportive culture for travel professionals.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years med-surg/telemetry experience
- North Carolina or compact state RN license (unencumbered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS if required by resource team
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, PCA, surgical drains, wound care, and administration of complex drips (Rituxan, thymoglobulin, neostigmine)
- Autonomous and a strong advocate for patient-centered care
- Prior Epic experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive nursing assessment and interventions for oncology, transplant, and surgical patients
- Manage telemetry monitoring, administer medications, and coordinate multidisciplinary care
- Maintain accurate documentation, leveraging Epic EMR
- Collaborate within a teamwork-focused unit culture, offering support and flexibility
- Float within the cancer center and med-surg units as needed
