Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts: 12 hours, either 6:30am7:00pm (days) or 6:30pm7:00am (nights)
- Weekend rotation required (every other weekend)
- No on-call
- Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays, per traveler policy
- Schedule cycles in 6-week blocks
- Up to 7 days off permitted with extension
Professional Growth:
- Tasked with managing complex hematology and oncology casesideal to expand your clinical acumen in symptom management, leukemia care, and comfort/end-of-life support.
- Team structure supports learning from CNAs, designated charge nurses, hospitalists, and phlebotomists.
- First-time travelers are welcomed, provided candidates have a minimum of one years experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN license
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (Med/Surg Tele; Oncology preferred)
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; ONS/OCN certifications preferred
- Proficient in port access, blood product administration, electrolyte management, EOL and pain/symptom management, IV starts, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care to oncology/hematology patients
- Administer medications and blood products
- Initiate IVs and manage port access
- Monitor telemetry and verify strips per shift
- Document efficiently in EPIC EMR
