Deliver exceptional nursing care in a dynamic, supportive environment as a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Telemetry with an emphasis on Oncology patient care. This travel opportunity offers the chance to contribute your skills in a Level 1 Trauma, academically affiliated medical center with a comprehensive oncology program and diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert nursing care for hematology-oncology patients including leukemia, symptom management, and end-of-life care.
• Administer blood products and manage electrolyte imbalances competently.
• Perform port access and proficient PIV starts.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and collaborate with telemetry monitoring teams.
• Support patient comfort and symptom control through effective pain management strategies.
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT teams, and hospitalists to deliver comprehensive care.
• Adhere to policies using EMR (Epic), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitoring systems.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure with at least 1 year MedSurg/Telemetry experience; Oncology experience preferred.
• Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (Resource Team standard).
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) membership and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
• Proven skills in port access, blood product administration, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, multidisciplinary unit settings.

Schedule and Work Environment:

• Shifts: 12-hour day (6:30 AM 7:00 PM) or night (6:30 PM 7:00 AM)
• Weekend rotation every other weekend; no call required.
• Holiday coverage approximately 75% holidays worked.
• Orientation: 2-day departmental orientation plus hospital NEO program.
• Unit culture emphasizes teamwork within a 40-bed unit averaging 34 patients per day.
• Free on-site parking and scrub color is royal blue.
