Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m. shifts
- Every other weekend required
Qualifications:
- Active RN license, eligible to practice in Iowa
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical nursing unit
- BLS certification (required)
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to diverse patient populations in the med-surg unit
- Conduct patient assessments, monitoring, documentation, and reporting accordingly
- Advocate for patient safety while administering treatments and medications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families, ensuring clear understanding of wellness and care plans
