As a travel medical-surgical RN, youll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and experience a range of workplace cultures and leadership approaches. Schedule/Hours:
- Expected rotating schedule (Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday)
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active RN license, in good standing
- Minimum 2 years experience in med/surg nursing
- Proficient with telemetry monitoring (must be able to read telemetry strips)
- Experience working with EPIC electronic health record system
- Demonstrated previous travel nurse experience preferred
- Familiarity with NIH Stroke Scale
- Adherence to infection control policies; artificial/acrylic nails not permitted, nails must be kept short
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a med/surg setting
- Monitor patient status using telemetry technology and respond promptly to clinical changes
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EPIC system
- Follow all safety protocols and unit policies to provide safe, effective care
- Participate in patient and family education
