Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a strong background in medical-surgical and telemetry care for a contract assignment. This role requires a dependable professional well-versed in hospital-based patient care and electronic health record documentation.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a med/surg setting
- Proven background working with telemetry patients, with ability to interpret telemetry (read tele)
- Proficiency using EPIC electronic health records system
- Completion of NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday, as scheduled
- Adherence to personal appearance protocols: no artificial or acrylic nails, and short natural nails only
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical unit, with a focus on telemetry monitoring
- Accurately assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care using EPIC
- Respond promptly to telemetry alarms and promptly escalate findings as appropriate
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
- Contribute to a safe and sanitary environment, following infection control procedures and facility policies
- Support patients and families by delivering education and addressing questions as needed
