A Registered Nurse is needed for a fast-paced medical/surgical telemetry unit located in West Bend, WI. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering comprehensive patient care through skilled nursing practices, clinical decision-making, and compassionate communication to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide and coordinate therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Manage a diverse patient population including medical/surgical, telemetry, diabetes, kidney, liver, heart failure, respiratory conditions, stroke, and cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Perform advanced nursing interventions such as wound care, insulin and heparin infusions, trach and chest tube management, and feeding tube care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support high census demands, handling 8-10 admissions/discharges daily.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring in coordination with tele techs.
• Float to MST and overflow units as needed (rare).
• Communicate effectively with charge nurses, unit leadership, hospital supervisors, and clinical resource nurses.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year RN experience, ideally in medical/surgical or telemetry settings.
• BLS certification required.
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and critical care equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.

Schedule:

• Three 12-hour day shifts (7:00 am 7:30 pm).
• Every other weekend and holiday required.
• No on-call responsibilities.
