Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Current experience with Med Surg or MS floors
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to document accurately and efficiently within electronic medical records
- Reliable, with a commitment to providing safe, effective patient care
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients on a busy Med Surg unit, supporting recovery and positive outcomes
- Administer medications and perform treatments according to physician orders and unit protocols
- Monitor and assess patient health status, recognizing and addressing changes promptly
- Collaborate closely with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide clear education and discharge instructions to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with all documentation requirements and regulatory standards
- Foster a supportive, respectful care environment for patients and colleagues
