An opportunity to apply your skills in GI Lab and Endoscopy nursing awaits in the Waukegan, IL area. This contract position offers a consistent 8-hour day shift with a typical workload of 30-60 cases, providing an engaging and steady environment for experienced RNs specializing in GI procedures.
Location
Based in Waukegan, IL, this role supports several regional facilities including Evanston, Highland Park, Skokie, and Glenbrook. Schedule/Hours
- 40 hours per week
- 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM start times
- No weekends or holidays
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in GI Lab or Endoscopy, with colonoscopies and endoscopies required
- Experience with EUS and ERCP procedures is a plus but not mandatory
- Valid Illinois RN license and current ACLS certification
- CPR certification required
- Proven ability to pass an EKG test at 80% or higher
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system
Responsibilities
- Perform GI lab nursing duties, supporting up to 60 cases daily
- Provide patient care during endoscopic procedures including preparation, monitoring, and recovery
- Potential to float to nearby facilities as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic system
This position requires submission of an updated resume, recent supervisory reference, proof of licensure, a completed skills checklist, and EKG test results. The role offers the chance to work in a specialized field with a stable schedule and no holiday or weekend shifts.
