A healthcare role specializing in Gastrointestinal (GI) Lab and Endoscopy offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to utilize and expand your nursing expertise in a fast-paced clinical environment. This contract position is based in Waukegan, IL, with potential floating assignments at nearby locations such as Evanston, Highland Park, Skokie, and Glenbrook. The schedule consists of 8-hour day shifts totaling 40 hours per week, with start times between 7:00 and 8:00 AM.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and assist with GI Lab procedures including colonoscopies and endoscopies.
• Maintain patient care standards during procedures and post-procedure monitoring.
• Administer EKG tests as required and monitor patient vital signs using Epic electronic health records.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams across multiple locations as needed.
• Adhere to facility protocols and maintain compliance with ACLS and CPR certification standards.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience specifically in GI Lab, Endoscopy, or related procedural care.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and CPR.
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
• Ability to pass an EKG competency test with at least 80% accuracy.
• Experience in EUS and ERCP procedures is beneficial but not required.
