As a Med-Surg RN on this travel assignment, youll gain hands-on experience with a diverse patient population and interact with multidisciplinary teams, refining your clinical judgment with every shift. Exposure to different workplace practices and leadership styles will serve as a major asset to your resume, setting you up for continued advancement in your career.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 PM 7:30 AM shifts
- Every other weekend required
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Active RN license (Iowa or compact)
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience
- BLS certification (required)
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and new technologies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients
- Collaborate closely with physicians and allied health professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor, assess, and document patient vitals, progress, and response to treatment
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and recovery processes
- Uphold safety protocols and infection control standards
