As an RN in this travel assignment, youll be immersed in a supportive environment where youll work with surgical patientsprimarily those recovering for 1-3 nights post-procedure. The role also includes caring for cath lab patients and, on occasion, providing support for emergency department overflow. This exposure will not only refine your clinical skills but also enhance your adaptability and expand your resume.
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM 7:30 PM shifts
- Day shift may include up to three Saturdays per six-week period
- Facility is closed on Sundays
- Holiday assignments are determined individually based on surgical schedules
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license, eligible for practice in Iowa
- Med-Surg nursing experience required
- Proven ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
- Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based patient care
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver attentive nursing care to post-surgical patients
- Provide care to cath lab patients and support ER overflow as needed
- Collaborate efficiently with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs throughout recovery
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and uphold best practices in safety
