Providing care in a teaching hospital exposes you to new protocols, dynamic interdisciplinary teamwork, and a variety of patient casesfrom acute and chronic diseases to complex post-surgical management. This assignment is ideal for nurses aiming to expand their skillset, build their resume, and immerse themselves in diverse approaches to medicine. Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week cycle
- No on-call requirement
- Holiday coverage: one shift per major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Flexible, 6-week schedule cycles
Qualifications:
- Active RN license and BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Tele RN experience
- 6 months prior EPIC EMR experience
- Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, and common med-surg procedures
- Strong assessment, coordination, and patient education skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for diverse med-surg/tele patient populations
- Interpret cardiac rhythms, manage post-cath care, and titrate drips as indicated
- Coordinate patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Float as needed to all med/tele units and assist in ED holds
- Complete timely documentation and participate in continuous learning
