Schedule/Hours

  • 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
  • Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
  • Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts per 12-shift block
  • No on-call; required to work select major holidays

Role Highlights As a Med/Surg Telemetry RN, youll provide comprehensive care to diverse patient populations, including post-operative, cardiac, and those with acute/chronic conditions. The busy, team-oriented environment allows you to strengthen your clinical judgment, time management, leadership, and interdisciplinary communication.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (required)
  • Active RN license and BLS certification (required)
  • ACLS and Medical-Surgical Certification (preferred)
  • Six months experience with EPIC EMR (required)
  • Strong skills in assessment, discharge planning, patient education, and care coordination
  • Experience with cardiac rhythm monitoring, managing drips (insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, etc.), trach care, and chest tube management
  • Telemetry skills: post-cath, TR bands, post-cath site care
  • Competency in IV starts and maintenance
  • Willingness to float throughout all Med/Tele units and assist with ED holds

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care for medical and telemetry patients across a 2036 bed unit
  • Monitor, interpret cardiac rhythms, titrate select drips, coordinate interdisciplinary care
  • Provide patient/family education
  • Support discharge processes and collaborate closely with CNAs, charge nurses, and intensivists
