Working in a Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital provides the invaluable opportunity to collaborate with leaders in acute care, practice evidence-based nursing, and broaden your clinical expertise. Youll interface with multidisciplinary teams and care for diverse patient populations with complex needs, further building your resume. In your time off, enjoy Warner Robins parks, nearby lakes, local eateries, and convenient access to historic sites for memorable adventures.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
  • Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts/12 in a 6-week cycle
  • No call requirements
  • Major holiday rotations as scheduled

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience
  • BLS required, Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) requiredmust pass EKG competency
  • ACLS and national specialty certifications preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and care coordination skills
  • Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, wound care, IV insertion, chest tube management, glucose/insulin drips, and discharge planning
  • Experience with EPIC, Alaris pumps, Pyxis, and advanced monitoring equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based care to ortho/trauma, post-surgical, and chronic/acute med-surg patients
  • Collaborate with CNAs, unit secretaries, charge/resource nurses, and ancillary teams
  • Manage central lines, wound care, telemetry, and medication protocols
  • Educate patients/families on renal/fluid management and facilitate safe discharges
  • Float between adult med-surg/tele units as needed
