Schedule & Hours:
- 12-hour shifts: 7AM7PM or 7PM7AM
- Every 6-week schedule cycle
- Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts per 12 (in 6 weeks)
- No on-call required
- Holiday rotation, covering one shift per major holiday
As an RN on a busy 35-bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit, youll manage patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions, including complex orthopedic and trauma cases, post-op recoveries, and patients with comorbidities such as diabetes and hypertension. Here, teamwork thrives, with support from CNAs, dedicated discharge nurses, a resource team, and 24/7 access to critical care specialists.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Tele RN experience (first-time travelers welcome)
- Active RN license (state compact eligible)
- BLS certification required; BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) competency required (pass EKG test)
- ACLS and national medical-surgical or nephrology certification preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical assessment, wound care, IV insertion/care, and central line maintenance
- Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- Chest tube, trach care, and insulin/heparin drips (excluding BP titrations)
- Care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Patient/family education and discharge planning
