Step into a dynamic Med/Surg Telemetry environment within a Level 1 Trauma-designated, teaching hospital. You'll play an essential role caring for a diverse range of adult inpatients, including post-cardiac, pre- and post-surgical, and those with complex medical conditions. As part of a collaborative team, youll work with supportive staff, including CNAs, discharge nurses, house-wide resource teams, and have access to hospitalist, intensivist, and respiratory therapy coverage around the clock. This contract position offers continuous learning and exposure to high-acuity patient needs.

Schedule & Hours

• 12-hour shifts: 7A7P or 7P7A
• Rotating weekends: 56 per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required (1 per major holiday)
• No call requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred; EKG/telemetry competency required on onboarding)
• Strong skills in trach care, chest tube management, IV maintenance, glucommander, cardiac drip management, and telemetry monitoring
• Comfortable floating to all Med/Surg Tele units as needed
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for acute and chronic medical patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage post-cath and cardiac patients
• Initiate and titrate select drips (insulin, heparin, Cardizem, etc.)
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team
• Provide patient education and support safe discharges
• Maintain documentation in EPIC and collaborate for optimal patient outcomes

$1,579 - $1,728/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
