Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patient groups
  • Serve as primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment
  • Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management utilizing available resources
  • Administer medications safely, following established pharmacology knowledge and hospital policies
  • Optimize resource utilization, including staffing and time management
  • Comply with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies
  • Engage actively in Nursing Shared Governance, Quality Improvement initiatives, and peer review
  • Participate in continuous professional development and mandatory education
  • Incorporate nursing research and evidence-based practice into patient care
  • Support new employees and nursing students in their clinical learning experiences
  • Assume Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator duties as assigned
  • Contribute to the Clinical Ladder Program for career advancement

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
  • Knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration
  • Commitment to professional development and adherence to ethical standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
