Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift: 6:30 pm 7:00 am (please note, block scheduling is not guaranteed)
Qualifications:
- Current, active NY RN license with verification from NURSYS
- At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Demonstrated travel nursing experience required
- Current AHA BLS certification
- EPIC electronic medical record proficiency
- Skills checklist matching Med/Surg specialty
- Updated resume and drivers license with matching address
- Willing and able to float to other units as needed
- Submission must include all requested time off
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with conditions such as post-surgical needs, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (post-bariatric surgery)
- Utilize specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes
- Work efficiently as part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Document patient data accurately using EPIC
- Adapt to various units and changing patient populations as floating is required
- Adhere to facility policies and demonstrate professionalism at all times
