Qualifications & Experience
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in a med-surg unit (MS)
- Advanced knowledge of nursing standards and best practices
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Excellent communication abilities to lead and direct nursing staff
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- BLS certification (additional certifications may be required)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients, adhering to established standards and protocols
- Perform thorough assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation using the nursing process
- Supervise and guide nursing staff at various professional levels, ensuring optimal workflow and patient outcomes
- Coordinate closely with physicians and allied health professionals for comprehensive patient care
- Exercise independent clinical judgment and adapt plans of care as patient needs evolve
- Uphold patient safety, confidentiality, and dignity at all times
- Document patient information, interventions, and outcomes with accuracy and timeliness
